DIY Hairstyles: Chun-B Goddess Braid

Hello beauties! Court and I are always looking for super quick, easy and inexpensive hairstyles. So I decided to give the jumbo goddess braid a try and I now have found a new go to hair style!

The things I used to create the look.

I used 2 packs of Freetress Braid 101. This hair comes pre-layered already and saves you some hassle and time. After washing my hair, I used AsIAm So Much Moisture and Jamaican Black Castor Oil Coconut to moisturize.

I started with my hair freshly washed, moisturized and blown out.

Using the Silk Elements edge control and Eco Styler gel, I slicked my hair into a small top knot bun using a hard brush. Once it was in a bun, I applied a small amount of got2b glued to slay my edges before tying my hair down with a scarf.

Next I attached the braiding hair to my bun using a scrunchie. I then braided a semi-loose braid and pinned it to and around my bun. To get the “goddess” look, I took out about 3 – 4 strands of hair out of the braid and applied a few flexirods. I dipped each rod in a cup of hot water for  about 10 – 15 seconds each to set the curl. For final touches I added some gold hair clips and VOILÀ!

This look gave serious me Chun-Li x Nicki Minaj vibes hence why I called the look Chun-B Goddess Braid! The next time you need something quick and inexpensive to do to your hair, try this hairstyle out and let us know how it goes! It’s now one of my faves!

xo,

Brit
